Busy, busy, busy, that’s what has been happening at the Marquette Harbor Ore Dock lately, with boats, barges and tugs pulling up to load. Danielle Adams was on hand when the Herbert C. Jackson was at the dock at night and all lit up. The lights are sparkling in the dark and making the water shine. Quite magical! Danielle’s next two photos are the Michipicoten and the Maumee, both pulled up on either side of the Ore Dock last week. The Maumee (2) is actually a barge that is paired with the tug Victory, but is not visible in the shot. It won’t be long now and these boats and sailors on board will be done for the season, getting a much needed break from the winter winds, snow and ice.
Short and sweet...nice!

I love all of these photos but the first one really grabs you. You just can't go wrong with freighter pictures. Thanks for braving the cold, Danielle!
