The Houghton County Fair took place over the weekend and had something for just about everyone on each of the days of the annual event. Our first photo is shared here today, by Sara Beth, who was on the Ferris Wheel with her daughter and took a neat photo showing a few of the animal exhibits nearby, including a camel!
The next two photos were supplied by Marlene Beaudoin and you can tell from the smiles she captured, that her kids were having a great time on the bumper cars and the ferris wheel.
The rides, the animals, the lights and the people, all make for a fun time for the family.
But there are some kids who have sensory issues, that the lights, the music, the crowds and the noise affect them and make it difficult for them to enjoy the fair. This year again they had a special two hour time frame where all those things were turned off and the crowds were kept at a minimum, so these kids could enjoy the fun without the anxiety that all that stimulation brings with it for them. Thanks to TV6 for taking a closer look.

How INCREDIBLE for those kids that otherwise just
get to stay home. FANTASTIC!~!

Great outreach to the families to have everything paid for too ~ so good to see the community work together like that!
