Another goodie from the late, great, Dan Urbanski (RIP) today. He snapped this shot in 2001 on a small lake in Winona. I like the neighborly ice fishing tents there, with the snowshoes for getting over the snow and ice and their trusty four-legged friend there to stand guard.
The second photo appeared back in 2005, submitted by Carl Kiilunen (RIP). There was much speculation the day this car was featured and the final say was that it was a 1935 Oldsmobile Business Coupe. Of note also, was the size of the snowbank it was parked next to, with the Michigan US41 sign nearly covered with snow.
I’ve never gone ice fishing, but that’s where we’re headed today with a video published by Dark Waters a little over a month ago. They catch some nice size walleyes on this adventure, but like most serious fishermen, wouldn’t disclose where in the U.P. their fishing spot was.
