Going back to 2008 with Karen Dugdale for our first photo today. Her photo is comprised of snowshoe prints and a third track from a snowmobile, showing that taking a walk in the winter requires extra gear to get where you’re going, but it’s such a relaxing way to walk around the fields and woods in the winter, it’s worth the effort.

More tracks in the second photo, snapped in 2016, by Barbara Bouwkamp. She was driving past Rice Lake and spotted these folks out on the ice. She wasn’t sure what they were doing, perhaps ice fishing. Barb said they all walked out there in a row, like ants marching in a line, so it made for an interesting mystery that day.

For today’s video, we join Nick, from Mlive Media Group, making tracks through the Porcupine Mountains, checking out things from a wintry perspective there.

Nice review and very cool video. I enjoyed the Porcupine Mountains, found it very hard to go swimming in LS around there being so rocky. Right in Ontonagnon they have a great RV campground, I actually preferred hooking up the travel trailer there, nice beach, but all in all, you can't beat the area, and definitely were the trip!

Laying around and these pain pills have my schedule all mixed up.
Thanks jbuck, I'm doing what the doc's and boss say, don't have much choice. I already miss driving with this big boot on my right foot. But, on the other hand, not going any where, I still have some folding money in my wallet, lol.
