Today’s archive review is an icy one, starting with a photo snapped by E. Neil Harri in 2014, while he was heading his plane towards the Huron Islands, checking out the ice shanties nearby, too. Not too much snow accumulated on the ice out there. It almost looks like you could skate out to those fishing shelters.
The next photo was taken by Marilynn Bachorik in 2015, when she and her husband were in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore park, checking out the frozen waterfalls along the cliffs. They were lucky enough to get out there while some folks were doing a bit of ice climbing, too.
For our video adventure, we’re joining Jeremy Turunen on a flight over Huron Bay. Things sure look different from the air and even more-so when covered in snow and ice.

Well shot video...nice and slow, allowing one to take in the scenery.

Neil's 2014 pictures of the ice shanties and the lighthouses are beautiful ~ and we get to see his 'photography studio' ~ his plane!
