We start out our work week with a look back to 2011 in the archives today. Judy Byykkonen was the photographer and the skier, too, finding snow-art along the way. That’s quite the overhang on that bent over tree and my first thought is it’s all going to dump when I go under it!
The next shot was taken by E. Neil Harri in flight over the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge, with Brockway Mountain in the distance and Lake Superior beyond that. Now that’s what I’m talking about for a spectacular view.
I couldn’t arrange for you all to fly there to Brockway, but instead we’re going to hop on a snowmobile with Merlin Nelson and sled to the top. Hope you enjoy the ride with no windchill whatsoever.

Mary...what do you mean you couldn't arrange for us to fly to Brockway? Is your private jet in the shop...again? :-)
Nice daredevil video...if one of those sleds coming the other way at 80 miles per hour lost it..."Splatto gran momento".
