Fun archive photos, today, starting with a 2010 shot, snapped by Dave Roberts, of his Granddaughter and the snowman she built on Lake Superior’s shore. Grandpa and Gabrielle went on a snow filled adventure, playing on Superior’s shores, having a picnic and ending up checking out a snow-covered Fort Wilkins. Plenty of good memories made that day.
Joy Ziemnick enjoys Superior adventures, too and she was out in 2017 capturing folks exploring the ice buildup at McLain State Park, with the Lighthouse in the background. There were some good size hills of ice built up for these folks to explore in the January sunshine that day.
Our video today was published at the beginning of this month, by Bo Zaney Adventures. It’s a fun look at a family playing in the U.P. snow. Perhaps the first time for the littlest one in the pink snowsuit, along with a friendly snowball fight with Dad and the kids, too. Good old fashion fun in the great outdoors!

Per the 2010 photo: I remember swimming across that gap between shore and the island one fine day in an early May from long ago, when the water was still about 40 degrees. Michael Phelps had nothin'on me.

That is the neatest video! I just loved watching Daddy being so kind & loving to his children, & them (& him!) having such a great time outside in the snow!
