There’s something magical about a snow covered scene, like our first archive photo from Steve Brimm, that was taken in 2012. He was doing a walk-about in Copper Harbor, snapping photos as he went along. Even in the winter, the Lake Superior shoreline is something to behold.

Then in 2013, Elaine Robbins was raring to go on a snowshoe adventure. She was at the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness Park, heading out on the Superior Trail that day. Sure looks like it was a beautiful day to be out in the winter sunshine.

Jeff Dennis and his daughter were out this past weekend, on their Polaris ATV, for a ride around Little Traverse Bay and they’re taking us along for a look, in the video they made that day. Enjoy the ride!

I'm psyched now to get my new 2018 Polaris ATV out and going. I've had it now for 3 months and it doesn't have 3 miles on it. I bought it because it was a great deal on sale and now the warranty is about to run out. With -10 temperatures due tomorrow and -20 expected for next week I think it will still be awhile.

Looks like everyone is about to get hit with a deep freeze.

Watching something mindless is easier than dealing with something of substance? Nice chill is on the horizon, a bit of action/motion is called for!

Mine is a 450 Sportsman. I live in the middle of
the "big" city here in NW Illinois. Illinois is
not very friendly or accommodating to ORVs. Just
means I need to work harder at getting out I
guess. Are you just outside of Cedar Rapids?

D.A. yes I am outside of C.R. There are some fun trails for ATV's not far from you in southwest Wisconsin, Darlington-Shullsberg, called the Cheesehead Trail system. More north to Iron River, Wis more trails, mostly former RR lines. There you can ride trail #2 a former Burington Northern RR from Superior, Wi to Ashland, Wi and many more trails peppered about. Wisconsin loves ATV's and snowmobiles! Google ATV trails for a state for more.
