Traveling around in the archives today. We start in my hometown, Lake Linden, with Rick Anderson of Skypixs, who was flying over 9th Street in Lake Linden, back in 2003. Sure doesn’t look like we had much snow that year, with bare roads and no snow banks.
In contrast, we have a photo from 2016, snapped by Barbara Bouwkamp of her street in Laurium, when we were in the midst of a snow event that was dropping 1 to 3 inches an hour. Quite a difference from the first photo.
In The Keweenaw published a “January Blues” video the beginning of this month, taking a look at winter in January from the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. From the west end of Brockway Mountain Drive looking east and over the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge.
