Snow, snow and more snow, both in the archives and here in real time, too. We start our archive review with a photo taken by our original Pasty Camist, Jon Hopper, back in 2002. This was snapped at Teal Lake, with the water tower that says: Iron Town – Negaunee, MI. Plenty of ice fishing has gone on there and still goes on today.
We head north to Laurium, with Barbara Bouwkamp in 2011. This is what living in the snow belt looks like after we’ve had a good dumping of snow. Keeps our village crews busy widening these streets so folks have room to drive and park during the daytime.
Back south for our current photo, which was snapped Sunday morning by Sharon Bodenus. She was at Picnic Rocks in the Marquette area to catch the sun brightening the morning with a golden glow. Stunning!
We return to Calumet for today’s video with E. Neil Harri. He’s taking us for a ride down 5th Street in Calumet, with the snow berm in the middle of the street waiting for the snowblower and dump trucks to come and do their magic removing all that snow.

Beautiful snow pictures ~ that may be what we look
like this weekend if the forecast for the next system
is correct. Lookout D. A. (Midwested), looks like
it's coming your way again!

I'd much rather see snow than freezing cold. You can't shovel cold.
However, the most beautiful picture of snow I have seen is when it was melting. Guess I just don't like winter.
