Two archive photos from the shores of Lake Superior today. First up is an aerial shot of Eagle Harbor, from E. Neil Harri back in 2008. Neil captured the entire harbor, with a glimpse of the Lighthouse and a look at his own house, too. I didn’t pinpoint which abode was his back then and I’m not going to today, either, but no matter which one is his, it’s a beautiful spot to call home.
The second Superior photo was taken by Urpo Vuorinen in 2012. Here’s what Urpo had to say about the photo back then: "Mother Nature was calling for me to come out and play beach ball with her but I could only manage some pictures before my fingers wouldn't function very well in the cold. The ice balls ranged in size from one inch to over 3 ft. in diameter. By the next day they were gone or frozen into the icy bank. I guess Mother Nature took her beach balls and left because I wouldn't play with her."
Check out today’s video, put out by Carhartt this past year, featuring the folks who work 24/7 to keep Ironwood, MI running all winter long and enjoy every day of it. Yooper tough!

Interesting video and the music caused a flashback.
