We start our archive shots today, back in 2007, with some Christmas trimmings from Brenda Leigh. There’s something about Christmas lights and snowcovered trees that make for a holiday feeling. Brenda’s display was colorful and bright.
In 2011, Sierra Bishop’s family got together with friends and did some unique sledding, getting pulled around. They didn't have any hills in the vicinity, so they hooked up their sleds to the back of the 4 wheeler and had a blast pulling it around in the field. The adults had just as much fun on the sleds as the kids, did!
Halli Lindley’s horses were sporting some colorful blankets in 2016. Halli said her horses had never worn blankets before then, but since they were getting older and the temperatures were quite frightful, she wanted to be sure they were warm and happy. They look like they were in a colorful parade.
The woods around the Hungarian Falls have enough snowcover to need snowshoes right now, as Melanie Hakala Rossi shows us on her trek there last week. The sunshine makes for some great shadows along the running creek there, too. Get out and enjoy some winter activities, it’ll make the season go faster.
Today’s video was filmed last Monday at Mont Ripley, showing off the fun to be had at the ski hill. They have many of the runs open now, with Wipeout and the Tubing park coming soon. For details check out their Facebook page here: Mont Ripley.
