We’re going over the river today and ending up at Grandma’s house. Peter Tormala got us to the river in 2004. Not sure what river or where, but when you’re walking in the woods here UP North, you’re bound to come upon a waterway like this. The running water keeps it from freezing over.

Our next stop along the way is with Joyce Tormala in 2008. I don’t recall if these two Tormala’s are related, but I know the critters in the second photo were Joyce’s adventure partners back in the day. It looks like Paco is taking a break and Mittens seems to be, also, although the position Mittens is in, she could be sledding down a hill, too.

Here we are at Grandma’s house now, with Mickey Hodges and her granddaughters in 2014. The girls built an Olaf snowman from the movie, Frozen, I’m sure with some help from Grandma, too. Love the smiles of the two little ladies, so proud of their hard work.

For our current photo, we stop at another Grandma’s house in Bootjack. Sally Beaudette captured this scene of her grandkids having fun sledding in her yard. Believe it or not, the day before Sally snapped this photo, the snow was all the way up to the tree in the yard there, but the rain and warmer temps melted it quite a bit.

In case you need a “brush-up” on building a snowman, we have a video from Jayson Franklin on How to Build a Snowman, featuring Evelyn and himself back in 2005.

haha I just don't understand the 2008 pic - the
kitty doesn't look freaked out. Maybe it IS just
taking a fun roll down the hill! :)

Nice video. I noticed a couple of leaves that got rolled into the mix. I didn't get any of my leaves raked this Fall. They were almost a foot deep everywhere in my backyard when Winter sneaked up on us. If we made a snowman now it would be totally brown with no chance to patch it up.

The 2019 Pasty Cam Color Calendar has arrived, and we'll be sending them out this week to all who pre-ordered. Once again proceeds from the calendar will be helping out with the Beacon House fundraiser, in their current project of re-locating.
They make great gifts and don't forget to buy one for yourself. You can order them here (save on shipping and order them with a batch of pasties): 2019 Pasty Cam Color Calendar
