As we've been working our way around the U.P. - and around the past 20 years of the Pasty Cam - our stop this week is Iron Mountain. Eleven years ago we jumped back 111 years to Hoose & Eaton Meat Market open for pre-holiday shopping (photo courtesy U.P. Digitization Center). Then we jumped forward half a century to an old piece of film circulating around Youtube that shows the demolition of a mine shaft house, and a pleasant color tour around town (video courtesy of Steve Mainville). Any ideas on which structure we see tumbling down?
By the way, the 2019 Pasty Cam Color Calendar has arrived, and we'll be sending them out this week to all who pre-ordered. Once again proceeds from the calendar will be helping out with the Beacon House fundraiser, in their current project of re-locating.
Have a good week :o)
