That must have been an impressive arrival of the Algoma Sault. She turned around a few miles out at the island near Schmidt Corner and came in BACKWARDS the rest of the way.
This vessel is almost brand new having been christened earlier this year after construction in China.
Some forty years ago I was very fortunate to have spent an extended weekend on one her very similar sister ships, the Algoma Enterprise (Canadian Enterprise back then). I'll never forget the experience. I just wish I could find the photos I took.
