What a weekend it has been in the U.P., and the Keweenaw in particular. Some areas received up to 24 inches of snow, and suddenly winter is here. Good thing we have no pasty shipments going out tomorrow (the federal holiday for Veteran's Day). The streets should be clear by Tuesday, when hundreds of pasties once again will roll from Calumet.
I believe that first photo above was one of the first snow shots on the Pasty Cam taken by our old Sony Mavica, which used floppy disks to store the photos. The second shot looks a lot like the video we feature today, one that was just uploaded hours ago by Gary DePollo.
