So many different subjects have appeared on the Pasty Cam pages throughout the years. Even within a particular season, like Autumn, the pictures can be so diverse. That’s what today’s photos are all about, starting with one from Roger Kangas, snapped back in 2005. He was out and about capturing the darkened skies from the rain and snow we’d been getting, along with the brightness of the all yellow lane of trees. What a great contrast of light and dark.
Switching from just fall foliage, we have a shot taken by Vanessa Gronewald, back in 2009. She caught these Keweenaw cows lounging around in their pasture with some beautiful scenery surrounding them. It seems they didn't even blink an eye while Vanessa was “shooting” them. Maybe they were too mesmerized by the autumn colors all around them, to even notice she was there.
Susan Hooker was in the right place at the right time back in 2014, when she took our last photo of the day. Check out the color on top of the colors. Maybe, just maybe, the Pot of Gold really is here UP North, but only within the colors of Autumn in the Keweenaw.
So if you’re having doubts about my “Pot of Gold” comment above, perhaps you’ll be convinced after you view today’s video, filmed by Jeremy Vore on October 5th, just a few weeks ago. This was the fall color just south of Marquette that day.
