We’re jumping from the tip of the Keweenaw, down to the southern gateway to the U.P., with one stop in between for our archive tour today. In 2008, Kevin Henriksen made a visit to the top of Brockway Mountain in Copper Harbor on what looks like a very windy day. Kevin had a hard time reading the informational signs there, since they were just about parallel to the ground with the gusts that day.
Then in 2013, Marsha Galbraith was on her way UP North for a visit and snapped a cloudy shot of the Mackinac Bridge as they were crossing over to the Upper Peninsula, heading to their second home on the shores of Lake Superior.
Beth Jukuri took a photo from her “office” window back in 2015. Yes, that’s her vehicle window, because she’s a rural mail carrier with a route from Chassell to Tapiola. Beth mentioned how lucky she is that the seasons change and then so does the view out her window, too.
Today’s video was filmed ten days ago by In the Keweenaw, with a great aerial view of some beautiful fall colors around the area. Sit back and enjoy the scenery!

Classic pix and that video, "Whoa, boy!". I was just transported UP to higher plains, man. And I'm not a Canadian resident, man.

The second picture makes me laugh! My Aunt & Uncle and cousins were discussing riding across the Bridge on one of the days they allowed bicycles. My Aunt said she didn't think she could peddle up hill that long and my Uncle swore up and down the Bridge was NOT up hill! Not sure how he thought those ships could get under! Guess he was right in a way, only half of it is up hill!
