Quite the variety of subjects in the archive of photos throughout the past years today. These were my three favorites, starting with a photo from Halli Lindley in 2010. Her horses get to graze amongst the beauty of their Autumn surroundings all day long. Not such a bad life. I love the tail toss, too!
Next in line is a shot snapped by Bob Gilreath, looking across the Portage Canal from the Houghton side, over to the Quincy Hill view, back in 2011. I’m thinking those houses on the hill there have quite a view looking back at Houghton, too!
Wrapping up my favorites for today, is a shot from 2013, when Deb and Ron Simons were here for a fall color tour visit. The colors, the blue sky in the background, the sun brightening the whole scene...what a great shot. I’m thinking it would make a great canvas and/or a tough puzzle to build.
Our video was shot by Scott Niska a year ago this month, taking in the sunrise around the Quincy Mine campus grounds. Beauty in nature and history!

All 12 of my horses are enjoying Autumn grazing. No flies, cool temps. and very frisky!
