It’s a hodge-podge of beauty today from the archives and a current shot, too. We start with a nighttime scene snapped in 2002 by Jon Jacobson. That’s the Laurium Manor Inn looking pretty regal and castlelike in the evening light.
In 2003, Rose Riemer took us for an Autumn ride through some pretty fall colors in the Keweenaw. This year, the colors aren’t quite that far yet here in the North Country, although I’ve heard reports that between Marquette and the Keweenaw, the colors are quite beautiful.
Judy Byykkonen snapped the third shot in 2008, of her faithful hiking companion Mandy, who has since passed on. What a great shot of her best buddy surrounded by the colors of fall. She looks happy to be there and posing for a portrait like that.
That brings us to the present. Jeff Dennis and family were out on their side by side traveling the trails from Bruce Crossing, to Sidnaw, to Ewen and along the way snapped this photo of Agate Falls along the Ontonagon River.
Jeff also made a great video of the ride, so we can go along and see many of the sights they encountered on their way. Not too much color yet in these shots.

I've been at the overlook of Agate Falls. Spectacular. Today's view from the bottom looks to be a long walk down and an even longer walk back up.
