Some of the most fun shots on the Pasty Cam over the years have been people interacting with Lake Superior. Crossing it in boats, water skiing behind a 4-wheeler, surfing on it, flying over it, and scuba diving in it. Or surfing on it, as Shawn Malone showed us in 2011, or kayaking through it, like Eric Stewart spotted in 2016.

This is a remarkable video, with its mesmerizing slow motion scenes, and teeth-chattering plunges in the Big Lake's icy waters.

Great story in the news today:

Jim Kuusisto has pledged 70 acres to honor his fellow
veterans. The property between Calumet and Lake
Linden includes Houghton-Douglass Falls.

Pledged? Meaning what? To whom? To honor … How?

Does this mean we may at long last actually gain public access to Houghton-Douglass Falls?
