Spent last night at the Soo, didn't have enough time to upload the Pasty Cam this morning, traveled across the U.P. this afternoon, back to the Copper Country. But along the way, Debbie and I took the time to explore a place we'd never been before: Muskallonge Lake State Park. It's over on the eastern side of the U.P., located on Lake Superior right between Grand Marais and Whitefish Point, just north of Newberry. We had a pleasant time strolling around the grounds, and catching some of the rock show this weekend.
As always our review photos are excellent glimpses of life in the U.P. Eagle Harbor as seen through Jonathan Hopper's lens (1999), and David Woon's rendering of Hunter's Point (2009). So much beauty here up north, and so little time left before the snow returns.
Have a good week :o)

nice video of the state park. my neck and back get sore from just thinking of looking for an agate in all of those stones on the beach.

We've been to Muskallonge Lake State Park several
times, usually this time of year. Nice park in a
great location. It was never very busy, being in
between Summer and fall color, and seemed a great
option to spend a few days in the quiet.
