It’s a traveling kind of day on the Pasty Cam today. We start out just south of Copper Harbor at Hebbard Park, along Lake Superior’s shores. Jonathan Hopper was behind the camera back in 2001, while the sun was going down, illuminating the little roadside park. It’s a great place to stop for a picnic and watch freighters pass by, too.

In 2013, Lindsay Fortin was out at Kauppi’s Campground in Gay, when she snapped the second photo of a faint rainbow out over the Big Lake. Of course Lake Superior is always the “pot of gold” around these parts.

Not only is it a traveling day, but the archive shots are also filled with various kinds of light. Sunshine, rainbows and now night lights in Marquette Harbor. Danielle Adams snapped this nighttime photo of the Hon. James L. Oberstar docked there. Bright lights sure make the big boats glow!
