Today’s archive look-back takes us to some beautiful areas around the Copper Country. We start out, back in 2005, with Brita Haapala, who takes us out to a well known scene at White City. The breakwall and Keweenaw Entry lighthouse near Jacobsville are popular destinations this time of year, to escape the heat and humidity.
We next join Bryant Weathers who was out paddling his canoe in Baraga County at the Craig Lake State Park in 2012. He stopped paddling long enough to snap a beautiful, calm reflection shot. I love how the blue sky and puffy clouds show up so clearly in the waterway Bryant is paddling along.
We end up our archive tour today with an interesting shot taken back in 2013 by Kathleen Niemi Vettori. It was a hot, buggy day at their Misery Bay and Kathleen, along with some family and friends were enjoying their view of Lake Superior, when they spotted this trio swimming across the Lake. That’s not something you see every day.
Today’s video was made back in 2013, when Greg Peterson was out fishing on remote Clear Lake in North Marquette County (Michigamme Township) near the McCormick Tract/Wilderness Area. He said the small deer was tired, but OK, by the time it made its way across this lake.

Glad the little guy was OK! The 2016 picture in the
review also features a young fawn!

Love the deer picture and the video also. I was
worried that somebody was going to have to save
him. Glad he's ok.

Nice pix...especially 2012, although that suspenseful video gave me an anxiety attack.
