In today’s archive, there were a few photos of the road ahead that are worth sharing here again. We go back to 2008 for the first shot, from Lois Haglund. This “road ahead” photo was taken in the Crystal Falls area. The long road ahead makes me want to get on my bike and pedal to the break in the trees up ahead, just to see what’s over the horizon and beyond those clouds hanging there.
Then Robert C. Wetton (RIP) takes us to Bootjack, where he captured a beautiful sunset lighting up a bank of clouds overhead. The water looks so nice and calm, too, reflecting the pink sky at night back in 2010. What a peaceful way to end a day.
Beth Jukuri took us down a road out near Pequaming, near L’Anse, back in 2014. Note the bank of fog up ahead, which she said came from out on Keweenaw Bay and had been blown inland. Beth described it as quite a surreal feeling to see the fog hanging over Lake Superior, seeming to be only where there were actually still some icebergs floating in the Bay that year at this time.
Fog can be so mysterious...today’s video takes us over the Portage Canal, with a look at the fog that seems to hover over the Canal and surround a little of the MTU Campus, too. The clip is courtesy of Maxed Out Productions.

Beautiful pictures again today. We're here in the Copper Country for a few days but haven't been able to sightsee at all. Maybe tomorrow.
