It’s a U.P. beauty theme today in the archives, starting in 2012 with a view of the Marquette Lower Harbor Breakwall Light and the town in the background. We're used to seeing Marquette's Lower Harbor from dry land, but Chad Johnson treated us to a view of the harbor from the water side, when he had the opportunity to board the Isle Royale Queen III for a tour of the harbor.
Then in 2014, Nathan Miller was flying his aerial photography kite over Calumet Township Watersworks Park and captured the second photo of the grounds and beach, with the leaves just starting to pop out.
Jump ahead one year, to 2015 and we have a dandy, double rainbow shot from Brita Haapala. Not only is the rainbow beautiful, but the scenery around it is so peaceful and pretty. Outstanding!
Today’s video is a different rainbow scene, taken during a storm, so it’s darker, which makes the lightning that flashes through the rainbow stand out even more. This was videoed near DeTour, in 2011.
