So many beautiful scenes to choose from and so little time. That goes for photos in the Pasty Cam archives throughout the past 20 years on this day for sure. These are the ones that were chosen for today, starting with one from Z-Man back in 2003. That’s the West Pierhead Lighthouse in Ontonagon pictured there at sunset. I love the sliver of light still showing on the horizon.
Another water scene appeared in 2007, from Capt. Don Kilpela, Sr., only this one was from the tip of the Keweenaw. This was the view out his breakfast room window in Copper Harbor, taken around 6:00 a.m., before the ducks and geese were stirring, that's why there isn't a ripple to be seen on the water.
Our last scene was captured in 2013, when Kevin and Mandy Rathbun made a spring visit to Bond Falls in Ontonagan County, near Paulding. They went there hoping to see some spectacular Spring run-off and they weren't disappointed. This shot shows the falls were running so heavily that almost the entire walkway was flooded, including the stairs on the way. Must have been a quick melt of the snow that year.
Since we’re already getting a spring time view of the Bond Falls, we might as well see some more of the U.P. falls and what they looked like when the snow was melting fast in May of 2013. This video was made by Chuck Storey.

Hypnotic is definitely the right word, Alex. I
love the flooded stairway also. Great pictures
and video!

Some waterfalls whisper
Some waterfalls thunder
They all are a part of
Ma Nature's wonder.
