Hard to hunt Easter eggs in a snow storm :) But Old Man Winter stopped back around this weekend for an April-Fool's parting shot to the U.P. There has often been plenty of snow still on the ground on 4/1, as we see from Quincy Hill in 1999 and Mt. Bohemia in 2005 (thanks to Jon Hopper and David Antikainen respectively). The worst part of the lingering snow this year has been the lingering cold, often single digits and teens, even in bright sunshine. Jason Asselin again has a good video selection to illustrate conditions that kick off April in the U.P.
Hope it has been a good holiday weekend for you and your family, wherever you are. Have a good week :o)

Lots of snow for sure. My brother lives in Kingsford and I think he said they got around 10". Holy smokes!
Our weekend has been quiet. Ron's still recovering from knee replacement surgery and I've been sick since Wednesday. It started with a sore throat and now it's full blown crud. But the 3 oldest grandkids braved the sickness and came out to eat, visit and play games. Grandchildren are the best.
HE is risen indeed! We got a little over a foot of snow Fri. and Sat. here in Cornell. Escanaba got 16". Now they're talking about 3-5" Mon and Tues. Only 7°F here this morning, but was 31° F later this aft.
