We start off today’s skiing adventures in the archives today, with a shot from Brita Haapala in 2005. Her family was doing some skiing at the Porkies that day.

In 2007, we were taken to the top of the Pine Mountain Ski Hill, by Deb McCumber. That’s quite the view from UP there, it looks like you’re so high you could almost touch the clouds.

The folks in the photo snapped by Dorothy Jamison back in 2009, were doing a bit of cross country skiing and came upon this bright colored caboose in the woods. Look at all the fluffy snow they had to maneuver their skis through, too, what a fun way to spend a snowy day.

Today’s video is taking us skiing at Pine Mountain, heading up on the lift, first, then taking off down a thrilling run on the hill. Fun to experience the thrill of downhill skiing through someone else, especially when I know I’m too chicken to do it myself!

Neat! Something that I've never done, so it was nice to experience the thrill.

So, question....if you ride up to the top, then
decide "This ain't happening"...can you ride back
down on the ski lift? :D

Nice video but did anyone else notice the "wavy" trees as the camera panned? I think it was due to the way the video was encoded.

And yes Donna, you can ride back down if you wish, as long as you are willing to take the ribbing that might follow.
