The archives have a variety of subjects in photos today. We start the look-back with a photo from 2006, snapped by Tom Cook. That’s a lot of logs surrounding the gentleman in orange, who, by the way, is Tom’s father-in-law, Norm Livermore. Those are the logs that he cut and stacked back then and was awaiting the temperatures to get colder so the logging roads would freeze up, allowing the transport of the accumulation to the mills.

In 2009, Bob Emmert snapped the little cutie in the second photo. She’s ready to take on the snowy outdoors, complete with pink snowshoes, even...stylin’ for sure.

Frank Paris shared a photo with the Pasty Cam back in 2013, from a vintage snowmobile ride. Frank and friends ride these machines around the Gwinn area, enjoying the older machines and the slower pace of riding on them. He says it was his first Hus-ski snowmobile (the yellow one) that brought him and Pasty.com together, since he was searching the Internet for information on the machine, when he came across an old photo of one on the Pasty Cam. He’s been hooked ever since, on the old snowmobiles and Pasty.com.

We’ve got more vintage snowmobiles to check out today, in the video from Beau Vallier talking about the Top of the Lake Museum, a non-profit antique and vintage snowmobile museum on US2 in Naubinway.

Interesting looking video, I'll have to watch it later.

That is a monster pile of logs. Looks like the bigger ones are piled on the left. Maybe the ones on the left go to the sawmill and the ones on the right go to the paper mill.
