The archive photos today are kind of a hodge-podge of subjects, with no apparent theme. Some days are like that, when certain photos catch your eye. The first of today’s views is from Donn de Yampert who back in 2003 was out at the North Portage Entry, snapping photos and came back with this interesting shot of a calm Lake Superior and Entry. I wonder if there’s a rock under that ice formation all by itself there?
Ten years later, in 2013, Henry Sakari was up near Great Sand Bay and spotted not one, but three freighters passing by. The second photo here is one of them chugging along with the ice spreading out from the shoreline to look like it almost meets them in the middle.
In 2014, we had a photo from Dorothy Jamison, of the Copper Kings Hockey Team who grabbed shovels and climbed up on the Calumet Colosseum (formerly known as the Armory) roof to shovel off the locker room portion. Good thing they pitched in like that to maintain the structure, since it is said that this facility is the oldest indoor ice arena in North America.
Our current shot for the day, comes from Donna MacIntosh, showing an icy looking Keweenaw Bay. You can see the sun peeking through the clouds and lighting up the ice down below. That doesn’t happen too often during the winter here UP North.
Today’s video feature by Anthony Bourgelas gives us a glimpse of a homemade roof cleaner that he says cost less than $15 back in 2015 when the video was made. Ingenious and inexpensive, too.

Frosty pix! It would be nice if snow slid off sidewalks and driveways that easily.

Either I can't count today or the
"previous 19 years of the Pasty Cam on this day, 1998-2016"
matrix above is out of sync.
I wanted to find the original post with the puppy dawg in the red booties,
so I looked at 2007. Oops, that ain't no puppy dawg!
But here he/she is, in: 2008!
Luulen, että tarvitsen lisää kahvia! (I think I need more coffee!)
