Our video today's goes back just a few weeks, when the official State of Michigan Christmas tree for 2017 was harvested and sent to Lansing (thanks, TV6). Appropriate for a day in which Christmas trees appeared during a number of years over the past 19: Lori Houle's family photo from 2006 (taken in 1959), and Chad Johnson's Victorian Christmas in 2011. There are a couple of years in the review that also glimpsed decorated trees: most recently Laurie Bashaw's in 2015, and way back in the archives, one take by yours truly:
I took this one in the mid-80's, my 5 year old Becky, and her big brother Jon. Becky is the "Pasty Girl" you hear on the phone if you call Pasty Central, and Jon has served as Pasty.NET's network Systems Administrator for the past 20 years. Wow, does time fly. Btw, today is the Pasty Girl's birthday :) Happy Birthday, Beck!
Hope your preparations for the Holiday are going smoothly. Stay safe and warm. Have a good week :o)
