I'm constantly amazed how ubiquitous the eyes of YouTube and Facebook have become, looking into far out-of-the-way places... or right next door. My eyes lit on Daryl Laitila's "Covered Road" photo back in 2001, and I wondered if there was any winter video of that tree-covered stretch going toward Liminga. Sure enough. Tree covered AND snow covered, captured by Ryan T Photography last year. And for good measure I threw in the lovely view of Hogback Mountain by Dan Brown in 2005.
Stay warm! Have a good week :o)

Thanks for taking me along for the ride. I love the pictures and the video is one of my favorite places. But I especially like it in the fall.

I always love the Covered Road. I've never before seen a snow plow BACKUP to get out of anyone's way. Last Fall I came head on with a logging truck there. From a hundred yards away he kept flashing his headlights and turn signal at me. For a moment I felt like Dennis Weaver in the 1971 Spielberg movie, "Duel". L Then I realized he was trying to show me where a pullout was. It might have been the same one used by the snow plow. J
D. A. (Midwested): "… For a moment I felt like Dennis Weaver in the 1971 Spielberg movie, "Duel". …" I can imagine. "Duel" indeed! You nailed it!

Very smart D. A. (Midwested)! I'm not sure i'd have picked up on what he was doing! I'd just start backing up looking for a turnoff.
So what we are saying here is that only in the UP would you run into people who, driving the bigger rig, would help out the other guy.
