Another end of the month has arrived so soon and in our long standing tradition here on the Pasty Cam, we set aside this day to pause and remember those that have passed on before us. Today we hold the following people close to our hearts:

I'm always grateful when there is nobody on that
list that I know. However, condolences to all
of their families. It's never a good time to
lose loved ones, but this time of year seems
especially heartbreaking.

There have been about 5 people under the age of
35 who have passed away out here in MN. Some
took their own lives, some left this world due
to domestic assault. It's just all so sad and
senseless. Now we welcome December. It's the
most wonderful time of the year. May you all
enjoy the days leading up to Jesus's birth. For
He, after all, is the reason for the season.

Remembering our parents Norman and Helen Pooley, Ed and Sophie Kuusisto, Aunt Lyle Pooley, our sister in law and dear friend Phyllis Kuusisto, Karen Kuusisto, Janet Trasti, Selma Kuusisto, Auntie Eva Lahti, our good buddy Nitz Kumpula, our nephews “The Chief” Churchill and Charlie Churchill, our sweet niece Rosie Churchill, Our niece Bailey Hartmann, our brother in law and friend Wayne Hartmann our sister and best friend Flo Hartmann and our dear sweet baby girls Annie and Molly Kuusisto. We love and miss you all so much.

My dad came into this world 11-23-1915, he left my
world 11-23-1988. On this day 2007 goodbyes were
to our loyal friend and protector, Lucky our
Doberman Pinscher.

Thanks Deb, especially for that last sentence in your post. He is indeed the reason for the season. I quote that phrase often to friends at this time of year.

And remembering my parents Robert and Gertrude Lee, originally from Jersey City, both of whom enlisted in the US Army right after Pearl Harbor was attacked. Dad was deployed overseas. Mom served in Oakland, CA. True WWII veterans now long resting in God's care.

November has always seemed a month for the passing of those close to me in my family. My Father in 1976, my Mother in 1984 and my Father in Law in 2015. Remembering them all.

Another name was added to the November memorial, as we received late word that Alicia Koski Marshall passed away. Alicia was a Pasty Cam visitor since the very beginning, and would frequently post comments and photos that advanced the conversation about the history and culture of the U.P. Our condolences to her family and friends.
