In the past 19 years, there have been so many beautiful pictures shared on these pages. The theme of the pictures has been just as varied, too. With today's archive shots, the common thread is "glowing", starting with a shot snapped by Paul Roberts in 2007. He was up at Pamida (Shopko now), during an early winter blowing and snowing, with the lights in the parking lot glowing! Paul figured it was a good way to announce that winter had arrived.
Our next glow comes from Jan Dalquist, in 2009, when she was at the Lake Linden United Methodist Church photographing "Pipe Organs of the Keweenaw" to accompany an article she wrote for the Diapason Magazine a number of years back.
The final shot today doesn't just glow, it sparkles under the night lights at the Marquette Harbor. Danielle Adams snapped this one in 2016, while the Walter J. McCarthy was pulled up at the LS&I Ore Dock to unload their cargo of coal. The scene is somewhat mystical looking with all the lights sparkling around the big boat.
To complete today's "glowing" here on the Pasty Cam, we have a video showing the beauty of the Upper Peninsula with photos from Escanaba, Marquette, Big Springs, Pictured Rocks, Fayette, Wells, and Norway, several of which have a glow of their own. Bud Lemire composed the video and set it to music for our enjoyment.

Beautiful video. And the picture from last year
is awesome also.

I like the picture of the Walter J. McCarthy all lit up but that first picture gives me a headache.

Very nice! Temps reached into the sunny 50s yesterday with no snow in sight. This should make for a shorter winter (I hope).
