The common thread in all of today's shots (besides being wintry) has to do with the picture-takers. In 2000, my son Jonathan Hopper snapped the lovely silhouette of Phoenix Church after a fresh snow. The next year I captured preparations for snowfall, a unique homemade jeep plow somewhere over in Gogebic County. John Schneiderhan was flying one day in 2011 and grabbed the aerial shot of Mt Bohemia. Jonathan is Pasty.NET's System Administrator, John has installed many of our Access Points in the Keweenaw Peninsula, and I am the General Manager.
Some non-staffers are responsible for today's featured video, the frenzied shore of Superior exactly one year ago today. It sure gets rugged in November in these parts.
Hope you have a good holiday with family in the days ahead. Have a good week :o)

I love that view of Mt. Bohemia. Last year at this time I remember searching for video of that 2016 storm. Great to find it.
Yesterday, the Coast Guard Cutter Alder was working in the Portage Canal picking up the channels buoys for the season. Here's a short video from one of the MTU webcams.
I've never seen a bad picture on here but Jonathans photo of the Phoenix Church has got to be one of my favorites.

That video. Wow! I couldn't stop watching. I've always loved that picture of the Phoenix church. It should be a Christmas card.
