Our archive look-back today, begins in 2001, with a Fall view of Copper Harbor, snapped by Sharon Smith. In case you've ever wondered, this photo proves that Copper Harbor is a special place here in the U.P.... just look where the rainbow ends! Right there is your "Pot of Gold".
The next timely photo was shared back in 2010 and taken by Brita Haapala. She chose a perfect setting to photograph what looks like a perfect pumpkin. This is such a simple photo, but one that keeps me looking back at it, time and again.
The last of our trio of photos from the archive today was taken at Big Bay, in the Marquette area, by Christi Schmitt. She was at Bay Cliff Health Camp for a retreat, back in 2014, when she snapped this beautiful autumn shot looking out toward Lake Superior. Quite the Overlook location there and so pretty with the blanket of fallen leaves on the ground.
Our second photo today reminds us that it's pumpkin time with Halloween coming, so just for some animal antics, we're going to take a trip to the Garlyn Zoo in Wallace and watch a tiger, bear, cougar and wolves enjoying the fall weather and some leftover pumpkins.

What a fun video. I see my cats acting like that every day so it's nice to see how the larger ones behave when seeing a "ball". All of those animals were so cute!

Cats rock the house, but the brown-hound didn't seem too interested...it bearly noticed.

Next Wednesday, if I see smashed pumpkins in the street, I'm blaming the Bears.

Alex, until I watched the video, I thought you were quoting a tune from back in the day. lol
Nice photos and video, that first photo is from an advantage point that very few people get to experience where Sharon lives, unless you're in a boat, nice shot!

[Ooooh, posting images on this site is such a large pain in the "corporeal sitting-down apparatus"! Especially when you have to guess whether the image is too large! And posting more than one image in the same message? Fuggeddaboudit!] 😠
P.S.: Who knew we had so many zoos in the UP. Ya'd think the UP wold be a pretty inhospitable place for many of the critters they have,

Whilst during my travels, this is yet another place I've passed by a zillion times, but never took the time to stop in. I was either too much in a hurry to get UP, or get DOWN. Did I hear someone say; "Stop and smell the roses"?
