We're fortunate here on the Pasty Cam, that we can make Fall last as long as we want with the photos that have been shared throughout the years in the archives. Many of those photos involve people's kids, including the four legged ones. Today we go picture taking with Aladino Mandoli back in 2005 when he took his young cousin Ashley Byykkonen on a photography excursion in Traprock Valley. You might recognize her name if you've been a long time viewer, as Ashley shared photos with us as a budding photographer back in the day.
In 2007, Joyce Tormala was out with one of her furry kids playing fetch in a fall covered woodland. You can see the joy in her pooch's face, he's even smiling behind that stick he's returning to her.
Another young budding photographer is Brita Haapala's daughter, Claire Haapala who is following in Mom's footsteps. She captured two of her siblings joyfully playing in the leaves alongside a Keweenaw country road and shared it with us all just a year ago in 2016.
Do you remember what it was like to be a kid running and jumping into the leaf piles? In case you don't, today's video is a compilation of kids doing just that. Sure looks like a good time and the smiles prove that the kiddos are enjoying themselves, but I think I'll just sit back and watch all the fun from afar, thank you!

At least in moderation, shivering is more exhilarating than sunbathing. In bad weather there is a feeling of being deeply, if contentiously, engaged with the elements.

What great pictures. That video was just a joy to watch. Anybody who grew up UP there remembers days like that. The boy who dove into the leaves, never to be heard from again, was my favorite. It looked as if he was diving into the water. You just don't get the piles of leaves like that out here in MN. I know that's hard to believe, but it's true.
Have a great day, everyone!

What a FABULOUS video!!! LOVE the kids having a ball!
Great video of kids having fun...I can just hear the kids saying..."Come on Dad, rake them in a big pile again". In the summer the kids jump in the lake, in the fall they jump in the leaves, in the winter they jump in the snow, and in the spring they jump in the MUD PUDDLES.

Kind of a bummer he only gave up two hits, that is usually good enough for a win. He'll be back in game 5 I'm sure, maybe game 4

Home run ties the game. If nothing else that means that Verlander won't get the loss.

Yes, didn't see the end of the game, but at least it was a win for Houston! Lack of offense support was a problem JV had with his 'prior team' too! ;-]

The salt boat will be coming thru on Friday-October 27th. If I read boatnerd.com correctly, it should be around 4pm. I was also told that it is coming from Detroit so it will come thru the south entry. I am going to try and catch it as it goes under the lift bridge on mtu webcams.

the name of the boat is manitoulin.

What I also love about the video, other than the kids having a great time, is the adults, parents, getting involved, too. To rake the leaves back up for another dive, making a pile for the kids to hide in. I love that video.....;O)
