The wonderment of fall around the U.P. never gets old, as evidenced by today's look back into the archives over the years. We begin with a photo snapped by Joan Velde in 2001, while checking out the Marquette area from the bluff overlooking the Harbor.

Moving ahead a year, to 2002, this time with Kelly Wenberg, we get an Autumn look at the Lake of the Clouds. I like the inclusion of the stone wall from the lookout in the shot, as it shows some unique workmanship there.

Our third "lookback" is from 2007, courtesy of Ray Laakaniemi. He was at Stanley Lake which is near Iron River on the western end of the U.P. It's a 310 acre small lake the is known to be "hot spot" for great Muskie action. Sure looks like a great spot for fall color action!

Jumping ahead 10 years to the present, we have an outstanding shot from Jodi Corrigan. That's Torch Lake in Lake Linden, as smooth as glass and doubling our fall pleasure with some amazing reflections.

We're headed back to the Lake of the Clouds in the Porcupine Mountains for our video excursion today, for a Fall look of the famous lake surrounded in fog.

Nice pier and benches to enjoy the view from on Torch Lake (UP location). Looks like they are brand new!
