And the colors continue to grace the archives from the past 19 years. We begin today with a beauty from 2006, snapped by E. Neil Harri while flying over the entrance irons near McLain State Park. That's McLain on the left and the Houghton Breakers on the right, with the freighter Algolake arriving there at the Upper Portage Entry. Quite a shot there, that's for sure!
The second photo is one of my favorites. The leaf colors aren't as vivid yet in this photo taken in 2008, by Brita Haapala, but the young boy walking down the two-track trail amidst the changing leaves just draws me in and makes me want to be right there, smelling all the scents of fall. It makes autumn come alive for me.
The last photo was snapped by Aladino Mandoli in 2013, when he visited Canyon Falls. If you look close, you'll see a fisherman in the shot, looks like he's wearing an orange jacket that just about matches the oranges leaves in the tree nearby. I love the dark greens in the photo, contrasting the bright colors surrounding them. Nice capture!
Some years the leaves are brilliantly colored, other years they are more subdued. It all depends on where and when you get to view them, along with Mother Nature's timetable of change that varies each year. Today's video takes you along the shores of the Lower Silver River in Baraga County, northeast of L'Anse back in 2010. Douglas Feltman captured some beautiful still shots and video footage of the flowing river and colorful foliage.

Spectacular fall scenes! I will have to watch that excellent looking video when I get home. The music sounds very soothing.

Awesome fall scenes today. That video is great. We spent a whole day in L'Anse this time when we were UP the end of August. We'd never done that and it didn't disappoint. We didn't get to see this particular falls, though. It's on my list for next time. But going to the mouth of the Huron River was amazing. If I camped, I'd be sure to make that one of my stops. Also, I'd like to join Brita for one of her adventures some time. I love that second photo. There's something about it that is simply beautiful. Thanks for all the beauty to start my Monday off with!

Beautiful video! The falls weren't nearly as full when we visited them!

Great video and 2008 reminds me of the cabin we use to go to on Sand Lake. Took many a stroll down the long and winding road back, just like that one.
