Color is the theme for today's look back at the past 19 years of the Pasty Cam. We start with a shot from Charles Eshbach back in 2000. He captured the color surrounding an old house on Mandan Road in the Keweenaw... all bright yellow with fallen leaves already turned brown, on the ground. Everything in this photo compliments everything else, from the old house, to the colors surrounding it.

We go forward to 2006 with a photo snapped by Paul Trautman, focusing on the colors on Quincy Hill and the Quincy Mine Hoist on top the hill. This shot is taken from a slightly different angle than you usually see, more off to the side and low enough that it looks like the Shaft House and smokestack are rising up out of the colorful hill in front of us.

And last, but certainly no least, we have a farm scene that was photographed by Aladino Mandoli back in 2010. The well kept barn bordered by the colors beginning behind it and the field in front, all say Fall, for sure.

So, as long as we're already on the farm, I thought we could enjoy a Fall drone flyover of the Easy Street Farms over on the western end of the U.P. It looks like their cows weren't quite sure what to make of this thing flying over them back in 2016.

This video made me wax lyrical again:

"And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away ho-ho hee-hee ha-haaa
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa"

It's so good to see this "Old House" from 2000.

I know exactly where this is, as I shall be staying in that house in mid November for a week or so with some great friends, in what is now a ghost town. ????????

I'm visiting from Cornwall, staying with Jack and Carol Treganowan in Eagle River, before going to ??????......with just another 5 weeks to go. !!!!!

Graham,

That's amazing it would be the house you're going to stay in! Hope you enjoy your visit to the fullest. Are you hoping for a snowstorm while you're there?

Where the telescope ends, the microscope begins.
Which of the two has the grander view?
