It happens every year over in Hancock, this year marking the 63rd year that the Houghton County Fair has been entertaining families here in the Keweenaw. So today we look back in the Pasty Cam archives to the year 2000, when a crowd of folks were on hand to watch some bull riding happening in the Main Event Arena.

Then in 2014, Kassy Kallio was there snapping photos of her son and friend having a grand time flying around on the kiddy rides. I think you can tell by the smiles on their faces that they were having a great time!

The fun continues this year, with Virginia Lambert behind the camera taking photos of her family enjoying the Fair on Thursday, with the sun and the smiles shining. I can't decide what ride looks like more fun…roller coaster riding or tea cup spinning. Maybe just watching the kids enjoying it is a better choice for my stomach.

Our video clip today, takes us all right there to the 2016 Houghton County Fair, with a little bit of everything that was going on there last year. I wouldn't mind a taste of that Elephant Ear towards the end of the video, especially since I passed on the rides in the last paragraph, my stomach would be just right for that sugary snack!

Big or small, the rides create lots of smiles...nice event.
