The common thread I found in today's archive photos from the past 19 years was about "making something". Like in the first shot from Jim Lowell, the subject is "making hay". A job that farmers do in the heat of summer, to feed their animals in the cold of winter. This scene was captured in 2000, when small square bales were being made, where nowadays you mostly see the big round bales.
Our next "making" photo was snapped by Bonnie Rendel in 2005. She caught this black bear in the act "making lunch", raiding her bird feeders. He doesn't seem to be too concerned that he was caught red-handed, either.
George Hoyem snapped the last "making" photo in 2006. The weather was "making a light show" over Portage Lake and perhaps even "making noise" along with it, too. That's quite a bolt of lightning coming down from the clouds, so bright it even lit up the water!
To complete this "making" day we have a video that features a Mother Black Bear and her two small cubs "making" their film debut. It's a short one, but fun to see the cubs following Mama's lead.

Nice pix and I like the video...especially the music. Does anyone now who the artist is? Pic #2: "Does my butt look big?"

..It might be wise to prohibit at once all teaching of real botany and real history, lest some future citizen suffer qualms about the floristic price of his good life.
Alex...on the actual YouTube page, it says the Music is: "Elegy" by Tycho. Hope that's helpful!
