It's Monday and always hard to get back to the "old grind" of the work week, so today's archive review is filled will animals (and one human) to make you smile. We start back in 2009 with an outstanding shot of a porcupine snapped by Fred Koski. This prickly little fellow seems to be playing peek-a-boo with Fred and it looks like he might be smiling, too!
The next animal set, is a trio, snapped in 2010 by Deb Simons in her Mom's backyard in Lake Linden. Mom deer and the twins came in to feast on apples, but the spotted kids were more interested in romping around the yard, having a grand time.
That's Edie Hopper in the last photo, bravely standing beside the Big Boy Moose in Manistique, although I don't think she was in any danger, since the moose is smiling for the photo-op. Charlie Hopper snapped the photo a few years back and shared this one in memory of his beautiful wife in 2016.
Since we started today with a smiling porcupine, we'll end it with a baby porcupine who was having a tough time figuring out how to get down from the large rock he was on at the Garlyn Zoo in Naubinway. I'm not so sure this little porcupine was smiling when he finally got down.

Neat critters. I haven't seen a porcupine in ages, most likely because they don't come to town much.
I enjoyed the video, the little guy sure made a bluff out of a boulder. The way he got down was not one of his choosing but he managed to muster up a little dignity before he toddled away.

I love animal pictures. That porcupine picture is
adorable. And I always love sitting on my mom's
back porch watching the deer having fun.
