Each time I look at the collection of the previous 19 years on any given day, a common theme (or themes) jump out at me. Today had recurring scenes from waterways here in the U.P. So I did a quick search on "Upper Peninsula water" and discovered that the New York Times had recently featured the U.P. in their 360 series. A great place to spend 36 hours :o)
There are so many voices speaking about the U.P. these days. We were hard pressed to find any pictures or info about the U.P. on the new www back in 1995 when we published the Snow Thermometer page that summer. I guess the truth is, there are countless voices speaking about EVERYTHING these days, including the U.P... Hear more on this Day in History.
Good morning. I love all the pictures and the video. Kayaking Pictured Rocks looks like so much fun. Love the Eagle Harbor light pic, as well as the Big Mac.
Great pictures this morning. I particularly like the shot of the Mackinac bridge. It took an outstanding combination of engineering and hard work to mske it rise from the waters. In the review I like the picture of the raspberries. Simply because in a perfect world my yard would be full of raspberry bushes and sugar plum trees.

Nice video, but I must be getting claustrophobic, because all I could think of when the kayaks went through the cave was earthquakes and Miners Castle rock collapsing.
