Big rocks, small rocks, in-between rocks, too. The past 19 years of photos have held a number of rocks all across the Upper Peninsula. Like in 2004 for instance, Danielle and Ryan Mahoney shared the top photo of some pretty big rocks in the Marquette area. I wonder if the folks on top of them did any jumping that day.
Then in 2008, Tim Bertsos discovered what he called U.P. Stonehenge. More rocks of various sizes stacked up in quite the balancing act on the shoreline. I wonder how long they stood there until a wave or a big wind knocked them over.
The last archive shot for today is from Cindy Conway and Michael Donnelly, taken a year ago, in 2016. That's the Manistique breakwall and lighthouse there on Lake Michigan. It's always fun to walk out to the lighthouse along the breakwall, provided it's a calm day with no big waves splashing over the top to land you in the lake.
I've driven through Manistique, but have never spent any time exploring the area. So I thought it would be fun to take a quick video tour to discover what Manistique is all about. Hope you enjoy the tour!

Nice pics! That looks like Presque Isle black rocks in the first photo. Also yesterday's video did show a more "tourist friendly" Sugarloaf Mt. and the changes that they have made. Nice video today as well. ..... Summertime in Northern Michigan.... I'd rather be there than anywhere else on the Globe, seriously!! I wonder if my company would let me call on Henry Ford Hospital, Beaumont, and the Detroit Medical Center, stationed from the Yoop??? lol

In conservation, what is lost is lost forever; what is won may be lost tomorrow.

Uncle Chuck, i'm glad you said that! That shot of Sugarloaf made me wonder when they did all that!!! All the platforms weren't there the last time we climbed the Loaf!
