Night scenes and setting suns have been frequent features during the past 19 years and rightly so, since they're such beautiful views. We head back to 2009 with Fred Koski for a peaceful evening, fishing under the light of the moon.

In 2011, Mike Schneider shared a night freighter, the H. Lee White at Marquette's Upper Harbor. The lights sparkling in the evening light make this scene even more inviting for those that are already hooked on anything freighters.

Then Sally Beaudette spotted a cloud formation from her Bootjack deck in 2015 that was U.P. shaped. There's even a small cloud that marks where Isle Royale would be. Sally said the cloud didn't stay this shpe long, but she managed to capture it before it changed again.

Our last photo today was also snapped by Fred Koski just recently. He called it "The Golden Hour" and I think that's quite fitting with the clouds lit up by the setting sun and also reflected in Lake Superior's waves.

Since we're talking night skies and sunsets, it seems more than appropriate to have a video clip of the sun setting at Miner's Beach in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Park. Relax and enjoy the show!

The clouds shaped like the UP is a great shot!

Just realized that the service remembering Charlie's Mom is happening right now. May a sweet Spirit fill the place as they honor her life, and comfort her family.

What great pictures. We thought about
Pictured Rocks today as we took the
Apostle Islands tour. They are beautiful
but definitely do not compare to Pictured
Rocks. Still having a great time here
though.

Photo #3, "2015: U.P. Clouds":

We've seen quite a number of Keweenaw/UP shaped clouds here, two more:
1. From Past-E-Mail: Cam Notes - 2002: April: Apr 25-02 -- Keweenaw shaped cloud.
2. In the Pasty Gallery, by Matthew Adair: "The UP in Clouds".

Now, have you ever seen a "Mushroom shaped cloud", like this seen over Phoenix, AZ at 5:25PM on July 18, 2016 (yes last year):

Oh wait, who's this:

If you look to the right of the cloud formation that looks the U.P., it looks a thumbs up formation. It is indicating, Yes, to the U.P..

Nice pix and comments! 2009...I'll bet they're using Fireflies and Glowworms for bait.
