If you've been a regular Pasty Cam viewer in the past 19 years, you know that the Keweenaw has been a destination for many folks of all walks of life. Today we look at just a few that appeared on this day in the archives. Starting in 2004, we join Andy Larsen in Marquette when President George W. Bush made a visit to the Yoop. It had been almost a century since a President had visited the U.P.
Then in 2013, Dick and Genie Mintken visited Gay for the Music Fest being held there on the Old Gay school grounds. Local talent entertained visitors to this normally quiet little town on the shores of Lake Superior.
The last visitors that appeared in the Pasty Cam archives on this day in 2014, were there in Calumet to visit the traveling Vietnam wall. Melanie Hakala Rossi photographed the gentleman in the photo who had found the name of someone he knew on the wall and was making a rubbing of that name.
So many visitors to our beautiful Copper Country and for so many different reasons. Our video feature today is right in line with the bottom photo. The Founders of the Wall bring this traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. to many locations. It's an exhibit that is healing for many who come to find a name and/or pay their respects.

God bless our Viet Nam vets and it seems every day they know more and more that they were appreciated by MOST of our country.

Very nice tribute. It's hard not to appreciate their sacrifice for us and the freedoms we enjoy everyday.

I see the airport cam has been replaced by the Upper Entry Cam. I have never seen that cam before.

George Bush always knew what he wanted to say but sometimes it didn't come out no good.
