2 - 8 - 14, the numbers of the day. Not the Pick-3, but the years we revisit during the previous 19 years of this journey. Dan Urbanski (2002), Katie Tormala (2008), and Marsha Galbraith (2014) provided the 'glimpses of life in the U.P.' on those memorable July 9th's.
I made a quick day trip out to island on Friday, and it reminded me how much fun it is to "Escape to Isle Royale" as our featured video says. Renewed acquaintances with some old friends, and made some new ones. And breathed a lot of fresh air. To me, this is what summer is all about.
