So often when looking back through the past 19 years of photos that have appeared on the Pasty Cam, it seems to be about the weather. Back in 2003, Dan Urbanski captured the fog over Lake of the Clouds Escarpment, which he said at the time, was his most often visited place. It's wonderful that he lives on in his outstanding photography.
Another weather photo appeared back in 2005, snapped by Z-Man at the Ontonagon Marina. He was on dry land with a front row seat to the lightning performance going on from the skies. Beautiful and menacing at the same time.
The third shot from SharonBodenus was taken yesterday at Presque Isle Park in Marquette. Known as the ‘Full Strawberry Moon of June’, what a great shot. Wouldn't you just love to be sitting there on that bench taking it all in?
Weather over the U.P. is ever changing, that's for sure. Today's video glimpse is a storm rolling in from Lake Superior with plenty of cloud movement going on, recorded just a few weeks back. You can enjoy it from afar without getting wet!

How many times I have seen a sight here in the U.P., wished I could take a shot of it, and shortly thereafter... see it on the Pasty Cam! Last night I was suddenly surprised by that full moon, walking through my house here in Eagle River in the dark, when the moon's smiling face peaked through the window. Thanks, Sharon, for capturing the scene I couldn't capture last night.
Then this morning, sitting here looking out over the Lake as I type this, it looks more like the 2003 scene from Dan Urbanski, with the fog clearing away. As you may know, I just spent the winter in Alabama, with my return delayed by a tornado. After being back for a week I have to reaffirm: this time of year especially, there's no place quite like the U.P. :o)

The Spring fog picture is one of my all-time favorites. Beautiful shot!
